Adytum

The Adytum Spa in Canberra, conceived as an immersive masterpiece, embodies the essence of "sensual minimalism." Crafted by Pattern Studio within the Branx building, this 220-square-metre sanctuary integrates various amenities such as a retail space, café, treatment suites, and a Japanese-style bath house.

Its design ethos revolves around pared-back yet tactile finishes, utilising a restrained materiality palette while experimenting with form and function.

Natural Brick worked with Pattern Studio to cast Sculptural elements such as monolithic door thresholds, counter tops and facades, enhancing the interior's sense of substance and presence. Pattern Studio emphasises the inseparable link between health and architectural quality, asserting that art and design significantly impact physical and emotional well-being. The Adytum Spa serves as a testament to the notion that spaces can be tailored for both pleasure and wellness, reflecting a growing demand for such immersive experiences.
